For the children

Children will enjoy the many great activities within easy reach.
Close to home we have a children's playground in the village or a swimming pool and soft play centre just seven miles away or you can venture a little further - here are some ideas to whet your appetite.
Rockpooling on the Yorkshire coast
Lot's to keep the younger visitors amused...
Within a few of miles you will find all sorts of activities to keep the children occupied - horseriding, swimming, running around in the soft play at Mega Fun or maybe pick up a Treasure Trails walk from the local Tourist Information Centre guided walks with a fun theme to keep the children engaged.
Head to the coast and spend a day on the beach or try rockpooling at Flamborough. The Living Seas Centre at Flamborough has lots of information and they organise guided events on the beach through the summer and school holidays. On the northern side of Flamborough Head is Bempton and the sea bird cities - great for seeing Puffin's in spring or take a boat trip out to see the birds from the sea or even a dolphin or two.
As you swing back from the coast stop off at Honeysuckle Farm a petting farm where the kids can get up close, take a cart ride or jump around on the hay bales.
If you need an indoors activity there is ten pin bowling or a great indoor climbing centres. There is also the Let Loose adventure centre in Beverley where you will find High Ropes. Low Ropes, a climbing wall, super slide and an adventure playground.
The Hull museum's are also great for a day out most of them offer free entry and are lovely bite sized attractions - not too long that the kid's get bored and turn off. Whilst in Hull the Deep is always a popular choice.
You can also get to York within 50-60 minutes and try the Jorvik Centre or the National Railway Museum with free entry or venture out to Pickering for the Steam Train or Flamingoland theme park. See the in cottage information book for more ideas....
